Sleep is the process by which the brain detoxifies and cleans itself of the natural inflammatory processes.
We need good quality sleep each night in order to function optimally in our daily lives. Sleep (or lack thereof) not only affects our physical health, but also our mental and emotional health as well.
What Biological Processes Are Linked To Sleep?
The Pineal Gland and Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SCN) entrain the brain and millions of cells to the 24hr light - dark rhythms of the planet.
Circadian Rhythms. (Night time) Reducing light stimulates the pineal gland to secrete Serotonin in to the bloodstream and cerebrospinal fluid. Melatonin follows.
Allow nature’s rhythms (external signals) to rebalance your biology and only eat during daylight hours (internal signals) to further enhance normal circadian function.

Hot tip: Having a hot shower before bed will make it easier to fall asleep.

Consequences of poor sleep: Sex hormones like testosterone drop to levels of someone 10 years your senior.

Did you know: Sleeping with less covers and in a cool room will allow your body temperature to drop and make deep sleep much easier to achieve.
